Your Laser Hair Removal Questions Answered

What is laser hair removal?

Laser hair removal is a permanent hair removal treatment.

How does it work?

We are continually impressed with the results from our Laser machine when it comes to Hair Removal. Providing faster results, with greater comfort and zero downtime. Hair follicles are precisely targeted and destroyed using a combination of light and radio frequency energies to achieve permanent hair reduction.

Am I a suitable candidate?

Our technology allows us to treat a wider variety of skin and hair colours.

What areas of the body can be treated?

Any area of the body can be treated as long as the hair is suitable, we treat both men and woman.

When can I expect to see results?

Hair growth is reduced after each treatment. The amount of treatments required will be based on your hair colour and type, body area and skin tone.

How long between treatments?

We will tailor the distance between treatments depending on each individual. As the hair begins to reduce the treatments can be spaced out further and further. Once your desired results have been achieved we recommend maintenance treatments once every 6 to 12 months.

Does it hurt?

Every person and area of the body is different and therefore everyone can experience different levels of discomfort. We find that laser hair removal can be more uncomfortable at the start of treatment when the hair is thicker and more dense, as time goes on and there is less hair to treat it can become very painless.

How do I prepare?

Preparation is key for laser treatment. In order to perform a safe and effective treatment we must ensure that you have not had any sun exposure to the area being treatment and an active tan for two weeks prior. There must also be zero fake tan on the area.

You must shave the area to be treated prior unless otherwise advised. We recommend using a brand new razor each time to get a close as shave as possible.

Are there contraindications?
  • We do not perform laser treatment during pregnancy.
  • Certain medications can cause light sensitivity to the skin and make you unsuitable.
  • Sun exposure or fake tan prior the the appointment.
  • We also do not treat anyone younger than 16 years old as their hormones are still changing and this can affect hair growth.
Is there any aftercare?

After treatment we recommend using after care lotion such as aloe vera to reduce any redness or heat to the area. Between treatments you can shave the area as normal. 1-2 weeks after the treatment you will need to gently exfoliate the treated area. You will find hair will begin to fall out post treatment.

How do I make an appointment?

We recommend starting with a laser consultation for every new laser client, regardless if you have had laser elsewhere before. We do this to ensure you are a suitable candidate, we can view the hair to be treated and we can answer any questions you might have, we will analyse the area to be treated and perform a patch test.

Once we have performed the consultation and patch test with no reaction after 24 hours we can go ahead and book your laser treatments.

The cost of the consultation is $30 and is redeemable on your first laser treatment.

Do you have packages?

Yes we offer our laser treatments in packages of 6 per area or combination packages. Our package costs includes your 6th treatment free! Packages are paid upfront.
